HOW WE MANAGE YOUR INFORMATION

Record Keeping & Data Protection

WeightMatters keeps a record of your name, contact details and dates and times of appointments on a password protected database. Your therapist is required to keep brief notes about the focus of your work. These are kept securely and are password protected. Any reports produced by WeightMatters to evaluate the service contain anonymised data and will not contain any identifying information of clients. WeightMatters operates in accordance to the General Data Protection Regulation 2018.

Data Statement

WeightMatters Ltd will use these details for running our business, including contacting you about appointments. We will also contact you about other services we think you will find helpful. You can choose to unsubscribe from these communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in the email or text message.

WeightMatters Ltd will keep basic records and clinical notes for 3 years after the end of therapy, or when we last hear from you. Notes will then be confidentially destroyed. The exception to this is in the case of some health records which are exempt from erasure.

You have the right to ask to see the information we hold about you, please ask your therapist and you can view it in a session. You can ask us to change any information that we hold about you that is incorrect. You have the right to ask us to delete information that we hold about you, which we will do save for that which we have a legal obligation to keep – for example, exempt health records.

If you wish to complain about how we handle your data, in the first instance please contact, James Lamper, who is the Data Controller at WeightMatters Ltd - Data Protection Registration Reference: Z3254568.
